Innovation, design and manufacturing
solutions have always played a large part in the continued success of the company. In 1998 we were awarded the contract for the
design and manufacture of the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Torches. This resulted in
the production of 14,000 Olympic Torches, 1,000 Paralympic Torches and 200 Community
Cauldrons. |
The Olympic Torch was seen and
admired by countless millions of people across the world as the Torch Relay progressed
through each leg of its journey to the Olympic Stadium and the lighting of the
cauldron during the Opening Ceremony on 15th September 2000. |
To date we have
received two awards for the Olympic Torch Project as follows: |

| In 1987 our
innovative approach to design and manufacture was recognised when we received the BHP Steel Award Industrial Category for our
revolutionary poly-vee pulley forming process. This process enables a single piece
poly-vee pulley to be formed from one piece of light gauge steel using spin
technology, with no machining process employed at all. |

| In 2001 our
innovative approach was again recognised when we were accepted by the Australian
Technology Showcase Secretariat as a company who can promote selected products using the
"Featured in the Australian Technology Showcase" logo. |
